Fortunately I packed the night before and I got to got to both breakfast and the gift store before we left for our next destination. We were off to Arenal Observatory Lodge but on our way there we made a stop at Finca Vida Campesina (sugar cane farm). The farmer that brought us to what looked like a Gazebo.

It had wood, Cocoa, star fruit miracle fruit and other fruits that were common in Costa Rica. He asked all the ladies to volunteer to juice the sugar canes and fortunately I was one of them. It was very challenging to turn the handle of the machine used to juice the sugar cane. I was so shocked at the end because we had a jug of juice. The farmer shared the juice with every body. It was so sweet hence the name sugar cane. He called down Jousy and Austin and were his next volunteers. The farmer told both of them to put miracle fruits in there months but not to swallow it and everything they eat afterward would be sweet. I also tried it and it was true. I bit into to star fruit that was bitter before i tried the miracle fruit and afterwards it was so sweet and delicious I couldn't help myself I ate the entire star fruit that gave me a sour face in a few moments before.
After that we had lunch but the Lovely farm lady preparing our lunch said she needed our help. She took us into the kitchen and showed us how to make our own tortilla. She told us cup our hand around it press down with the other hand and to continue this process until it was flat and circular. Then we ate Cassava chips, fruit juice(Guava and passion fruit etc), vegetable sauce, rice and beans, and roasted vegetable. This was a delicious lunch one of the best lunches I had on the trip. We left for Arsenal after visiting the gift shop.
